The Board of Investment yesterday gave a green light to eight investment projects worth Bt18.83b. The projects include a Siam Nissan Co metal parts and auto parts project worth Bt1.43b; two projects worth Bt5.2b for Mermaid Offshore Services Co; a Bt5.2b power project for Rojana Power Co; a Bt3.3b solar cell project for Bangchak Solar and a Bt1.1b project for Thai Lube Base, said secretary-general Atchaka Sibunruang. BoI expects applications for BoI incentives to total Bt500b this year, a significant drop from Bt723.4b last year.
