Banpu sees Q1 sales surging with high coal prices

Banpu Plc, Asean’s largest coal miner, expects its average coal selling prices to reach US$90 per tonne this year with total sales volume of around 45m tonnes, says chief executive Chanin Vongkusolkit. The company is forecasting first quarter revenue of Bt22b, an increase of 70% from Bt13b posted in the same period of 2010, on sales volume of 9.5m tonnes. (BANPU website)
