Governor of Bangkok Sukhumbhand Paribatra has admitted that the capital has seen a relatively high water level during the past two days and the situation is still unstable. However, he has pointed out that it is possible that the heavy flow from the upper part of the country is nearly over. In any case, he is asking all 50 districts of the capital to remain watchful of the flooding situation and has pledged that the city will vigorously continue the drainage effort. The governor also asks the security authorities to oversee the disputes over some flood barriers, which have resulted in a number of flood walls being razed down by the locals.
